Synopsis:

Jack and his mother are broke, so they decide to sell their cow to pay the rent. On his way to market, Jack sells the cow for three beans, and his mother is furious and tosses them out the window. Overnight one of them grows into a giant beanstalk which Jack climbs above the clouds, where he encounters a Giant (who eats people) his wife, and a young girl. He steals the Giant's moneybag and golden goose intending to run away with the girl but she is caught by the Giant. Jack vows to save her, so back on Earth he gives all the money away and gets the goose to lay a golden egg. Later he rescues the girl from the clutches of the Giant, chops down the beanstalk, and gets to live happily ever after with the girl.
