Synopsis:

Based on the true story of a youth resistance movement against the third Reich in Germany, 1943.  "The White Rose" follows the story of university student Sophie Scholl who discovers her brother and his friends organising a movement to oppose Hitler.  She joins their activities and in the face of enormous opposition they distribute leaflets encouraging resistance to the Reich.  Although ultimately ending in their capture, it is a tale of enormous courage and inspiration.
